While in Lansing, I got a chance to explore the capital building for my first time in many years. It was under construction, but this didn’t stop us from running our own self guided tour.
Looking up at the dome.
Coat of Arms.
House stands (under construction).
Fancy stairs include branding.
Chandeliers loaded with ice!
The North Star.
Does anyone else think the new carpet looks a bit like it’s got flaming skulls on it?
The Supreme Court room was being used as something like a storage closet.
Fancy @ss door-handles.
Self-portrait in elevator.
Muses in a dome.
The industry muse looks like she’s trying to be ironic.
And the muse of the sciences looks a bit psychotic.
Fun fact: MI State fossil = the Mastodon
